Sometimes we all just need to get away, right? As soon as you see the views of the Catoctin Mountains from the front porch, you’ll realize why this location is the perfect, country escape. This home has been remodeled to give fresh life to this storied farmhouse. Inside you will find a bright, open living room with stunning views of the mountains and farmland. Snuggle up on the bay window bench with a good book, or lounge on the huge couch in front of the cozy fireplace and 65” 4K HD TV. But this is a vacation, and you’re not here just to watch TV! Sometimes we all need a warm, home-cooked meal. That’s why our farmhouse kitchen is stocked with all of the appliances, tools, and utensils you’ll need to cook you and your family a nice dinner. Sit along the counter while you snack and catch up, or sit around our long farm table to dine and share stories - there is plenty of seating for everyone! We even include barware, glassware, and a wine rack for you to enjoy a nice beverage! You’ll feel like you’re sleeping on a cloud when you lay on the memory foam mattresses we stock in every bedroom. On the main level is the master suite, with a King bed and charming barn doors, along with 2 more bedrooms (both with Queen beds) and a full, newly renovated bathroom. The upper level offers another Queen bedroom, a fifth bedroom with 2 Twin beds, and a third full, newly renovated bathroom. Every bedroom has a closet! Outside, we also include a charcoal grill for you to cook up delicious food on those warm weather days! The patio includes outdoor seating, and there is also a fire pit area for you to roast s’mores and watch the sun set behind the mountain. This property is also frequently visited by local wildlife! During your stay, you may see herds of deer, flocks of geese, ducks, hawks, wild turkey, and even cranes at the pond! So many species of birds like to visit, so sit back, relax, and enjoy their peaceful sounds! Though it may feel rural and remote, you are still very close to grocery stores, restaurants, hiking, skiing, shopping & more! You’re within minutes of some amazing, local wineries, breweries, and orchards. Take some time to unplug and embrace farm life! We would love to host you!
Other Details to Note
There is so much to do in the local area! Visit historic Gettysburg, PA or Downtown Frederick, MD, wineries, breweries, go skiing, golfing, hiking, antiquing. Our Welcome Book at the entrance has a list of all of our favorite spots! Please keep in mind that there is a pond on our property. Please be cautious. Adults must monitor children at all times. The house runs on septic, so please do not flush ANYTHING that’s not toilet paper. Depending on the length of your stay, a lawnmower may arrive to cut the grass and maintain landscaping while you are there. This will always be between the hours of 10am and 5pm, and they will not need to enter the house. We will communicate to you the date and time of their arrival.

You will be surrounded by farms on all sides! Quiet country road with minimal traffic. Directly across the street is our sister property where we host fall festivities like corn mazes, pumpkin patch, sunflower field, and more!
Guest Access
This home is on 22 acres. You are free to roam and explore the land! There is also an outdoor patio and fire pit. Plenty of parking! You have full access to the house aside from a few locked owners closets, and the basement will be locked for maintenance use only.
